I was delivering a horse to a new owner when I was introduced to these 3. The homeowner was moving and asked if I wanted to take the 3 back to the ranch with me. I had never been around llamas and only heard horror stories, so I wasn't sure. All 3 of these guys come from quality bloodlines - as far as llamas go. They were placed with the homeowner after a drug seizure and had been with him for a dozen years. So, after a 2 hour "round up" and a few spitting episodes (because they are not handled), the 3 Amigos were loaded in my trailer and heading south. Knowing that they are suppose to be good at predator control and having new foals at the ranch I felt good about giving them a new home. They have not failed me.

They love to roam the entire property and during the summer will stay high on the hill overlooking the horses. They've alerted us to a bear that was passing through and have kept the coyotes away. They show up every morning for food and then head out for the day. These guys have definitely been an education.
